The 60th Anniversary AMI Conference and General Assembly, held in Manila, brought together sixty-two representatives from fourteen nations across four continents, including two military bishops and members of related Christian military organizations. Building on the 2020 Declaration of London, the conference reaffirmed AMI’s stance on ethical conduct within modern armed conflicts, emphasizing the moral duty of Catholic military personnel to act in accordance with their faith and conscience. Discussions focused on integrating Christian values into military service, promoting ethical leadership, and addressing the challenges of artificial intelligence and technology in warfare. Delegates also explored ways to prevent the dehumanization of enemies and to strengthen support systems for young military families, with the results of these discussions to be submitted to the Vatican.

The Assembly approved several initiatives aimed at supporting global Catholic military communities. A key highlight was the continued trauma training program for Ukrainian chaplains and military personnel, addressing war-related post-traumatic stress and moral injury. AMI also updated its Action Plan with renewed focus on family support and launched a new website and initiatives to expand the Catholic Military Connect app, which now operates in nine languages and will soon include a Tagalog version. Additional efforts were directed at engaging young service members through social media and creating working groups on ethical warfare, humanitarian law, and emerging technologies. The Assembly welcomed Ireland and Ivory Coast as new full members, honored outgoing ecclesiastical advisor CH (BG) Patrick Dolan with the Humanitarian Award, and appointed Fr. Paschal Hanrahan as his successor. Guided by faith and the Declaration of London, AMI remains committed to nurturing the spiritual lives of military personnel worldwide.
