2025 Christmas Message from the Leadership Team
Dear friends and colleagues,
As we enter the holy season of Christmas, we give thanks to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace and Light of the World. In this time of reflection and hope, we wish to express our profound gratitude to all the volunteers of the Apostolat Militaire International. Your generous service, commitment, and faith continue to sustain our mission and bear witness to Christ’s love in the midst of the military world.
We are especially mindful this Christmas of our work in Ukraine, where, in the face of immense suffering, our organization has been privileged to support and train chaplains, medics and officers in responding to moral injury and PTSD. This ministry of presence, healing, and compassion is a powerful sign of the Gospel at work, bringing consolation to those wounded by conflict and trauma.
May this holy season renew our trust in the Lord, who enters our broken world with mercy and hope. We pray that Christ may strengthen all who serve, comfort those who suffer, and guide our chaplains, lay Christian volunteers and AMI volunteers as instruments of peace and reconciliation.
May the joy of Christmas fill your hearts and homes, and may the Lord bless you and your families with peace, faith, and hope in the coming year.
With prayerful gratitude and Christmas blessings,
President AMI Vice Admiral (Rtd) Matthieu Borsboom.
Secretary General AMI, Revd (Wing Commander) Neil Galloway.
