The 56th AMI Conference and General Assembly was held virtually for the second consecutive year due to COVID-19, with 50 participants from 14 nations across four continents, including military bishops from the Netherlands and the United States.

The assembly re-elected the Dutch and Italian leadership, initiated testing of the AMI app Catholic Military Connect (CMC), exchanged experiences of ministry during the pandemic, and endorsed both the full and condensed English versions of the Declaration of London.
